2003
The beginning
Founded by 5 engineering leaders from Pace Micro in 2003, Red Embedded initially worked with the likes of Telecom Italia and BT to deliver video telephony products.

2004-2009
Our growing reputation
The reputation of the founding directors in the Pay TV industry meant that quite quickly the team grew to 15 people, initially helping a leading US-based operator deliver a step-change in their STB technology.

2010
Our new UK office
By 2010, we’d developed a strong reputation as an embedded specialist in media, and outgrown our incubator offices in Bradford University, moving to Shipley.

2012
An office in the US
In 2012 we expanded in the US, opening an office in LA servicing our AT&T presence significantly.

2015
European expansion
During 2015 we opened in Wroclaw, Poland, a city recognised for tech talent – today that team is over 94 people strong. This milestone marked a major step-change in our business.

2020
Strategic refocus and rebrand
In 2020 we set about a new strategy, to deconcentrate the business and deliver services across sectors. Red Embedded changed its name to Consult Red, and we brought in our first Chairman, Karen Bach.

Boosting capability in Cloud
Consult Red recruited a team of cloud engineers in a move that delivers a one-stop-shop in technology and IoT development capability for clients.

Boosting the Team
Paul Stevenson joins as Chief Financial Officer. Paul will sit on Consult Red’s Board and join its Executive Leadership Team.

Employee-owned organisation
The Directors of Consult Red transferred shares of the business to an Employee-owned Trust (EOT) to benefit employees.

New CEO
Raghu Venkatesam joins as Chief Executive Officer to accelerate leadership position in intelligent devices and systems market.

Growing our team by 45%
Consult Red now have teams based in the Sheraton Plaza in Warsaw, Katowice Business Park and Stanisława Wyspiańskiego in Zielona Góra.

Innovation Centre in India
Located in Hyderabad, the office will enable Consult Red to accelerate product development for its clients while also establishing a Centre for Excellence for AI.
