Consult Red Continues Collaboration with Skyworth Digital to Develop Next-Generation Video Experiences

Consult Red, engineering specialists for intelligent, connected devices, and Skyworth Digital, a worldwide TV industry technology pioneer, have reaffirmed their ongoing collaboration ahead of IBC 2024 (13 – 16 September).

This partnership focuses on developing innovative, RDK-based video experiences targeted at global TV, media and OTT providers.

Industry-leading connected TV and set-top box products from Skyworth Digital are further enabled by RDK innovation, engineering and integration expertise provided by the Consult Red team. The result? Advanced solutions, such as the Operator Smart TV, enable operators to deliver next-gen video services alongside new revenue-generating apps and services while retaining full control of HDMI0 and their subscriber experience. Operator TV and set-top box platforms are further enabled by advanced application delivery, management and telemetry, helping operators reduce the cost and time-to-market for application onboarding.

This recent collaboration builds on a years-long history of partnership. The Consult Red and Skyworth teams have worked together since 2020 when they joined forces to develop and launch the first RDK Video Accelerator (VA) with an Amlogic SoC.
