Challenge

Orange Polska sought to explore and validate software platform alternatives that support their operational requirements.
They wanted proof that prplOS platforms enable faster innovation and the potential to deliver monetisable features beyond basic connectivity, including containerised services.
This validation was critical as part of their device roadmap planning and future Wi‑Fi 8‑ready broadband plans.

Solution

We integrated the prpl reference platform into Orange Polska’s live environment, working onsite with their GPON fibre network.
The team validated TR-069 provisioning, secure ACS communication (mTLS/PKCS11), and executed structured Wi-Fi 7 testing.
This gave Orange Polska practical exposure to prpl workflows and confidence in feasibility.

Learnings

The PoC provided hands-on experience with GPON onboarding, IPv6 setup, and ACS workflows, reducing operator uncertainty around prpl adoption.
We confirmed PKCS11‑based mTLS security (recently developed for prpl Foundation) worked as expected, end‑to‑end in a live ISP environment.
Testing in the customer’s Wi‑Fi lab provided good exposure to Tier‑1 validation practices for Wi‑Fi 7 performance.

Impact and Value

Reduced risk and uncertainty around prpl adoption – delivered objective Wi-Fi 7 performance data; validated secure onboarding and ACS workflows; established a technical baseline for future prpl-based development.
Set the foundation for Orange Polska to realise benefits, including the introduction of new revenue-generating value-added services, reduced operational costs with remote diagnostics, and improved customer satisfaction with improved in-home Wi-Fi performance.
